Notice is hereby given that Collier Area Transit will be hosting a public meeting on Tuesday, December 30, at 2:00 p.m. to discuss the House Bill 1301 Report. This will be a Hybrid Remote meeting, and it will be held at the Golden Gate Community Center, 4701 Golden Gate Parkway, Naples, Florida. The public may attend either remotely or in person. 

Individuals who would like to participate remotely should contact CAT at ridecat@collier.gov , or call (239) 252-5840 by noon on December 22.

Remote participation is provided as a courtesy and is at the user’s risk. The County is not responsible for technical issues.

Florida law passed House Bill during the 2024 Legislative Session with the primary goal of enhancing accountability and transparency in the operations of publicly funded entities. This legislation mandates a greater degree of openness regarding the use of taxpayer funds. To comply with these new legal requirements, staff will be presenting a report at this public meeting. This report will detail how the organization is adhering to the increased transparency standards set forth in the legislation.

Collier Area Transit operates in compliance with Federal Transit Administration, (FTA) program requirements and ensures that transit services are made available and equitably distributed and provides equal access and mobility to any person without regard to race, color, or national origin. Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; FTA Circular 4702.1A, "Title VI and Title VI Dependent Guidelines for Federal Transit Administration Recipients.
