All Florida coastal counties and counties are susceptible to storm surge and most have designated evacuation zones. Use the mapping tool below to search by address and determine if you are in a designated evacuation zone.

Shelter Information

Shelters are a place of last resort, if possible, stay with a friend or family member.

Tell your loved ones about your plan/location, so they know where you are!

Have a plan! If possible, avoid using a shelter. Expect:

  • limited space
  • no privacy
  • power loss could mean limited air conditioning and lights
  • meets only basic human needs
    Create a personal plan!

  • Pets permitted in only designated shelters
  • Registered Service Animals are permitted at all shelters
  • No pets in common areas (no exceptions for emotional support animals)
  • No exotic pets
  • Pets must remain in cages
