Please be advised that permitted repair work and the construction of new structures must be done by a licensed contractor or as an owner builder, as defined by Florida Statutes. Collier County contractor licenses can be verified at the CityView Portal.

Recreational Vehicle or Travel Trailer Temporary Placement Application

Pursuant to Collier County Floodplain Management Ordinance Section 62-79, a Recreational Vehicle (RV) or Travel Trailer (TT) may be allowed as a temporary use for living purposes on a property where the principal residence (including a mobile home) has been rendered and confirmed by County staff to have major damage, as long as the RV or TT is on the site for 180 consecutive days or less, is not parked, stored, or encroaching on any right-of-way easement, and is fully licensed and ready for highway use. A recreational vehicle or travel trailer is ready for highway use if it is on its wheels or jacking system, is attached to the site with only quick disconnect type utilities and security devices and has no permanently attached additions.
