Any request for a deviation from established water, wastewater, or IQ water standards or procedures shall be submitted on a Utilities Deviation Form.

To request an optional pre-submittal deviation meeting, please email UtilityPlanning@collier.gov. These meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month via Webex. Pre-submittal time slots are 15 minutes each and begin at 2:00 pm.
Collier County Utilities Deviation Request submissions must meet all Collier County Code of Ordinances and other governmental requirements.
Please include key items for staff review in your application packet to streamline the administrative review process. These items vary based on the project. The items given the greatest weight generally include, but are not limited to: site constraints including why specific standards are impractical, engineering reports, demand calculations, alternative enhancements that provide equal or greater protection or reliability for the utility, and costs to maintain/operate conveyed assets.
Items that may not be considered as a basis for a deviation generally include but are not limited to: installation/construction costs, stated brand/developer preferences without technical support or site constraints, and that private assets do not carry a maintenance responsibility for the utility.
