5 to 6:30 p.m.
All interested members of the public are invited to attend a public information meeting regarding the Golden Gate Parkway Corridor Congestion Study from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 20, at the Golden Gate Community Center, 4701 Golden Gate Parkway, Naples, FL 34116. Displays will be available to review in the auditorium during the entire meeting time, and project team members will be standing by to assist with any questions. (A diagram showing the study location and public meeting location is at the end of this news release.) In addition, a short video will be provided as an overview of the study. The video will be on a loop and run continuously during the entire meeting time. There will not be a formal presentation.
The objectives of this study are to conduct a thorough analysis of existing traffic conditions, identify current and projected congestion points, and ultimately propose major improvements designed to enhance traffic flow, improve safety, and accommodate future growth along this vital corridor.
The goal of this study is to identify feasible improvements, such as improving signal timing, managing traffic flow, or adding more capacity with a focus on managing congestion, improving travel time reliability, and enhancing safety for motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians. Major potential improvements will be identified at the Livingston Road intersection and may include a grade separated overpass. The I-75 ramp intersections will be evaluated for capacity and safety improvements that may include traffic signal improvements or major ramp reconfiguration.
Project displays will be posted on the county’s website after the meeting at Transportation Planning Studies | Collier County, FL. For anyone who is not able to attend the meeting, comments may be sent via email to Katherine.eastley@collier.gov.The public comment period will end Dec. 4, 2025.
In case of a weather event, the meeting will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at the same location and time and the comment period will be extended to Dec. 16, 2025.
Two or more members of the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) may be present and may participate at this public information meeting. The subject matter of this meeting may be an item for discussion and action at a future BCC meeting.
