Self Issuing Permit

This is a self-issuing permit available on the portal, unless any of the criteria listed below apply. If they do, the permit will follow the standard permitting and plan review process. Additional documentation may be needed, as outlined below:

  • Changing type of water heater (Ex: electric to gas, tank to tankless, etc.)
  • Changing size of water heater
  • Moving location of water heater
  • If owner-builder
  • If commercial

Plumbing Plans: Specifications of the new water heater.

Moving location of water heater:

Plumbing Plans: floor plan showing existing and proposed water heater location

If owner-builder:

Owner-Builder Application:(PDF, 468KB) For owners of property when acting as their own contractor and providing direct, onsite supervision themselves of all work not performed by licensed contractors. Document must be signed in
