This is a self-issuing permit available on the portal, unless any of the criteria listed below apply. If they do, the permit will follow the standard permitting and plan review process. Additional documentation may be needed, as outlined below:

  • Changing type of water heater (Ex: electric to gas, tank to tankless, etc.)
  • Changing size of water heater
  • Moving location of water heater
  • If owner-builder
  • If commercial

If owner-builder:
