Notice of Public Meeting
Pine Street and Linwood Avenue Sidewalk Projects
Collier County, Florida
January 8, 2026
5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Collier County Transportation Management Services Department staff are planning an open-house style public information meeting on Thursday, January 8, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on two sidewalk projects, one on Pine Street from Becca Avenue to U.S. 41 East and the other on Linwood Avenue from just west of Linwood Way’s easternmost intersection with Linwood Avenue to Airport Road. The meeting will be held at East Naples Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall, 1697 Shadowlawn Drive, Naples, Florida. All members of the public are welcome to stop by to review the project displays and talk one-on-one with the county’s design team.
The Pine Street Sidewalk Project proposes to replace a 5-foot-wide sidewalk on the west side of Pine Street from Becca Avenue to U.S. 41 East. The purpose of this project is to improve the connectivity of the existing sidewalk network.
The Linwood Avenue Sidewalk Project proposes adding a 6-foot-wide sidewalk along the north side of Linwood Avenue from just west of Linwood Way’s easternmost intersection with Linwood Avenue to Shadowlawn Drive. At the Shadowlawn Drive intersection, the sidewalk will transition to the south side of Linwood Avenue and continue from Shadowlawn Drive to Airport Road. The purpose of this project is to improve connectivity for children attending Shadowlawn Elementary by providing a sidewalk within proximity of the school where one is currently not present.
The sidewalk improvements will increase safety and provide better mobility for pedestrians. Construction may begin as early as the summer of 2026.
Both sidewalk projects are receiving grant funding from the Federal Highway Administration through the Florida Department of Transportation. Collier County will participate with funding as needed.
Two or more members of the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) may be present and participate at this meeting. The subject matter of this meeting may be an item for discussion and action at a future BCC meeting.
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or other reasonable accommodations to participate in this proceeding, should contact the Collier County Facilities Management Division located at 3335 Tamiami Trail E., Suite 101, Naples, Florida 34112, or 239-252-8380 as soon as possible, but no later than 48 hours before the scheduled event.
