Collier County EMS to Honor Lifesaving Heroes During EMS Week at 2026 Phoenix Award Ceremony

As part of National EMS Week, Collier County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) will host the biannual Phoenix Award Ceremony on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Collier County South Regional Library, located at 8065 Lely Cultural Parkway, Naples, Florida. Held during EMS Week, May 17 – 23, 2026, the ceremony serves as an opportunity to recognize the dedication, professionalism, and heroism of first responders across Collier County.

The Phoenix Award symbolizes resilience and renewal, honoring first responders, dispatchers, and civilians whose actions helped save lives across Collier County.

This year’s ceremony will recognize 103 Phoenix Award recipients representing first responder agencies throughout Collier County, along with 17 cardiac arrest survivors whose lives were saved through rapid intervention, coordinated response, and high-quality emergency medical care.

“During EMS Week, we recognize the extraordinary commitment of the EMTs and Paramedics who answer the call every day,” said EMS Chief Bruce Gastineau. “The Phoenix Awards highlight the impact of teamwork, training, and coordinated response across our public safety partners. Together, we strive to provide compassionate care to all of Collier County.”
