Collier County Domestic Animal Services Hosts Kitten College Educational Event

Learn How to Save Kittens in Your Community – No Experience Required!

Collier County Domestic Animal Services (DAS) is excited to welcome the Kitten College team for a special educational event focused on saving the lives of kittens in our community. The event will take place on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in the Exhibit Hall, North Collier Regional Park, 15000 Livingston Road, Naples, Florida.

The Kitten College team, based at the Animal Welfare League of Arlington in Virginia, is nationally recognized for developing one of the most successful kitten foster and care programs in the country. Their visit covers their most popular education session:

  • Kitten 101: Kitten Care Essentials
This 90-minute training is the most popular course geared toward potential and current fosters, community animal ambassadors, veterinary staff, and animal care staff.  This training follows the latest guidelines from UC Davis Koret Shelter Medicine Program and provides practical tips for caring for underage kittens.

Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, meet DAS staff, and connect with others passionate about helping animals.

This free, interactive program is open to current and prospective foster families, animal welfare professionals, members of the public, and shelter partners interested in learning how to care for kittens in need. Registration is required online at https://app.acuityscheduling.com/schedule.php?owner=21191074&appointmentType=85328960.
