Poinciana Village Stormwater Management Improvements Project

Kick-Off of Construction Public Information Meeting

Tuesday, March 3, 2026

5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The Collier County Transportation Engineering Division will host an open-house style public information meeting on Tuesday, March 3, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. about a stormwater improvement project in the community of Poinciana Village.  The meeting will be held at the Collier County Growth Management Community Development Dept., 2800 Horseshoe Drive N., Room 609/610, Naples, Florida. All members of the public are welcome to stop by to review the project displays and talk one-on-one with the county’s stormwater design and construction teams. No formal presentation is planned.

The project will replace and improve the existing Poinciana Village stormwater drainage system. There are currently 19 locations where the stormwater from inside the subdivision flows to the perimeter ditch that borders the subdivision. The pipes, inlets, and structures have all reached the end of their useful lives. The drainage system will be replaced with upsized pipes to allow greater flow to the perimeter ditches. The project will also include one additional connection from inside the subdivision to the perimeter ditches.

In conjunction, the perimeter ditches will be cleaned, reshaped, and stabilized. The proposed improvements will help to reduce flooding in the community during typical rainfall conditions and facilitate system maintenance.

The project has been competitively bid and awarded to Quality Enterprises USA, Inc. Start of construction is scheduled for April 2026. Construction is anticipated to be completed in the spring of 2027.

Two or more members of the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) may be present and participate at this meeting. The subject matter of this meeting may be an item for discussion and action at a future BCC meeting.
