Master Gardeners of Collier County Announces Annual Garden Workshop Series

The Volunteer Master Gardeners of Collier County are proud to announce the return of their annual Garden Workshop Series, a beloved tradition that has enriched the Naples community for nearly 20 years. Running from January through March, this year’s series will feature nine expert-led lectures tailored to the unique gardening needs of Southwest Florida, culminating in the highly anticipated tour of a secret private garden in the Naples area.

The Garden Workshop Series has long been a cornerstone of Collier County’s gardening community, offering practical, region-specific advice to help residents thrive in Florida’s subtropical environment. Topics will include soil and moisture management, pest and disease prevention, and plant selection strategies designed to succeed in local conditions. Each session is led by seasoned experts who bring both technical knowledge and a passion for cultivating resilient, beautiful landscapes.

“Gardening in Collier County presents unique challenges and opportunities,” Jane Monti, Master Gardener Volunteer (9 years). “Our workshops are designed to empower residents with the tools and inspiration they need to create thriving gardens that reflect the beauty of our region.”

The series is open to gardeners of all levels, from beginners eager to learn the basics to experienced horticulturists seeking fresh insights. Attendees will not only gain practical skills but also join a community of neighbors who share a love of gardening and stewardship.

The highlight of the season is the annual secret garden tour, an exclusive opportunity to explore a private oasis rarely open to the public. Each year, the chosen garden showcases creativity, sustainability, and design excellence, offering inspiration for attendees’ own landscapes.

For nearly two decades, the volunteer Master Gardeners of Collier County have dedicated their time and expertise to this program, fostering education, community connection, and environmental resilience. Their commitment ensures that the Garden Workshop Series remains a treasured event in Naples’ cultural calendar.
