Danford Street Road and Drainage Improvement Project
The Collier County Road and Stormwater Maintenance Division, in partnership with the Bayshore Gateway Triangle Community Redevelopment Agency (BGTCRA), announces a roadway and drainage improvement project that will temporarily affect portions of Danford Street and adjacent driveways located on the northwest side of the roadway.
Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, July 6, 2026, and is anticipated to be completed by Friday, July 24, 2026, weather and tidal conditions permitting.
Intermittent temporary lane closures and driveway closures will be necessary to allow the County's contractor to complete essential drainage and roadway rehabilitation improvements. These improvements are designed to enhance public safety, improve accessibility, and extend the service life of Danford Street.
Bayview Park and the public boat ramp are expected to remain open during construction. However, motorists, pedestrians, cyclists, and boaters are urged to use extra caution while traveling through the work zone.
Driveway Improvements
Driveway removals and replacements will begin at the Northwest end of the project and progress eastward. Work is scheduled to begin July 6, with driveway reconstruction anticipated to be completed by July 10, weather permitting.
The following properties will be affected:
1715 Danford Street
1727 Danford Street
1751 Danford Street
1777 Danford Street
1712 Danford Street
1742 Danford Street
During driveway reconstruction, affected property owners may temporarily park on the vacant Collier County-owned property located at 1812 Danford Street until access to their driveways has been restored.
Contractor Information
Construction will be performed by Preferred Materials, Inc. under Asphalt Maintenance and Related Services Contract No. 24-8259.
Visitor Information
Visitors planning to access Bayview Park or launch boats during the construction period are encouraged to allow additional travel time or consider alternate arrangements to minimize inconvenience. Normal traffic patterns and driveway access are expected to resume upon completion of the project, weather permitting.
These improvements are part of Collier County's and the Bayshore Gateway Triangle CRA's ongoing commitment to providing safe, accessible, and well-maintained transportation infrastructure for residents and visitors.
