Collier County Domestic Animal Services Announces $1 Adoptions for All Shelter Pets in Celebration of National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day

Domestic Animal Services is excited to announce an adoption event in honor of National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day, celebrated on April 30. From April 30 through May 3, adoption fees for all available shelter animals will be reduced to $1, making it easier than ever for community members to bring home a new furry family member.

This limited-time event aims to encourage pet adoption, reduce shelter overcrowding, and give animals in need a second chance at a loving home. Dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, and other small animals will all be included in the promotion.

“Our goal is to find safe, loving homes for as many animals as possible,” said Grace Angel, Operations Manager of Domestic Animal Services. “By lowering adoption fees, we hope to remove barriers and inspire more people to experience the joy of adopting a shelter pet.”

All adopted animals will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to going home. Adopters will also receive adoption counseling and resources to help ensure a smooth transition for their new pet.

Community members are encouraged to visit early, as high interest is expected and animals are adopted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Event Details:

  • Dates: April 30 – May 3, 2026
  • Adoption Fee: $1 for all animals
  • Location: Collier County Domestic Animal Services, 7610 Davis Blvd, Naples, FL
  • Hours: Daily 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., Wednesdays by appointment only.
