“Unearth a Story”
With the Summer Reading Program at the Collier County Public Library
June 1 to July 31
Collier County Public Library invites the community to participate in the 2026 Summer Reading Program, “Unearth a Story”. This year’s theme encourages readers of all ages to explore the worlds of dinosaurs, paleontology, archaeology, and STE(A)M education through engaging activities and resources available at all ten library locations. The program will run from Monday, June 1, through Friday, July 31.
Participants may register by visiting any Collier County Public Library location to obtain a reading card. Throughout the summer, readers are encouraged to enjoy books, eBooks, or audiobooks to earn a variety of rewards.
Children from birth through Grade 5 and teens in Grades 6–12 may submit their completed reading cards to receive a small prize at each visit, along with one entry per card into the grand prize drawing. Adults are also invited to participate and track their reading for a chance to win a family membership to local partner organizations, including the Naples Botanical Garden and the Naples Zoo. The more reading cards submitted, the greater the chances of winning!
In addition to a full schedule of free in‑person programs taking place throughout the summer, the Library will host five Summer Reading kick‑off events across the county during the first week of June. Detailed information about kick‑off events and all upcoming programs is available on the Library’s events calendar at https://library.collier.gov.
The 2026 Summer Reading Program is made possible through the generous support of the Friends of the Library.
