Collier County Domestic Animal Services Celebrates National Dog Week with Adoption Promotions
Collier County Domestic Animal Services (DAS) is celebrating National Dog Week, September 21-27, with adoption promotions to help shelter dogs find loving, permanent homes. Additional details about the week’s special adoption promotion will be announced soon.
“Every dog deserves the chance to be part of a loving family, and National Dog Week is a great opportunity to introduce adoptable animals to people who may be looking for a new companion,” said Jonee' Willette, Programs Manager of Collier County Domestic Animal Services. “We hope the community will take the time to meet some of these wonderful animals and consider making adoption part of their family’s story.”
The National Dog Week celebration will officially kick off Friday, September 25, with an adoption event at Petco, located at 6424 Naples Blvd., Naples, Florida, from 10:00 a.m. to noon. DAS staff and volunteers will be on site with adoptable animals. This provides an opportunity for the community to learn more about the adoption process and the services and programs offered at the shelter.
National Dog Week is an opportunity to recognize the important role dogs play in the lives of individuals and families while highlighting the many deserving animals currently waiting for homes.
