What is Purr & Play?
Purr & Play is a welcoming cat lounge experience operated by Collier County, offering an interactive and enriching environment where guests can relax and spend time with adoptable feline residents from Collier County Domestic Animal Services and its partner agencies. Designed to encourage positive human–animal interaction, the calm and comfortable space allows cats to showcase their personalities while giving community members the opportunity to form meaningful connections that support socialization and adoption.

Wednesday – Sunday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Closed Monday & Tuesday
- 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Walk-ins welcome; no reservations required
- 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Reservations available & recommended
- Last reservation at 3:30 PM
Do you have to make a reservation to visit?
It is not required. Walk-ins are always welcome as space permits. If you want 100% certainly that you don’t have to wait, it is best to make a reservation in the afternoon when they are an option.
Is there a fee to visit?
No! Purr & Play is free to visit. There is no admission fee to enter or spend time with the cats. Our goal is to make adoption accessible and welcoming for everyone.
Is parking available?
Yes. Free onsite parking is available at North Collier Regional Park
Can I bring my own cat?
No. For the safety and wellbeing of our adoptable cats, outside animals are not permitted inside Purr & Play.
What if I’m allergic to cats?
Not a problem! While Purr & Play is not a traditional café, we do offer a comfortable gathering space just outside the cat lounge. Guests can enjoy vending machines, including a self-serve coffee machine, along with comfortable seating and free Wi-Fi. New viewing screens are also coming soon, allowing visitors to relax with a coffee while watching the cats play inside Purr & Play. Whether you’re waiting for your reservation, meeting a friend, or simply stopping by to enjoy the atmosphere, we invite you to sit back and stay awhile.

Is Purr & Play a shelter?
No. Purr & Play is an offsite adoption lounge showcasing cats from Collier County Domestic Animal Services and other community animal partners. We do not accept stray animals or owner surrenders at this location.
If you need assistance with a stray or pet surrender, please contact Collier County Domestic Animal Services directly. Abandoning an animal is illegal under Florida law.
